The Story So Far - October 2016

So I'm going to be bringing out all the old chestnuts at the solo show I'm doing at What the Dickens on October 26. It's been quite the ride since I landed here in Tokyo in 2004 and since then I've done a lot of stuff that I'm fiercely proud of. It would seem that I'm quite the chameleon, what with all the various hairstyles I've donned over the past! In that time I've put out a few official recordings, fronted a rock band and am now very fortunate to be working with the creme de la creme of some of Tokyo's best musicians: Samm Bennett, Morgan Fisher, Dylan Hunter, Robert Moreau, Kaoru Arai-Colucci, Jeff Curry and Shathani Buckley. I'm very honoured to have them on board for the "Hymns for Her" adventure.

Seriously, I have to stop and consider my good fortune for a moment. I know I'm not the easiest person to work with, but I have a vision and have to say I'm pretty proud of my accomplishments. I know I couldn't have done it without the support of the musicians I've worked with, their time and energy, plus the effort and encouragement of Aaron Kemp and Jakey Slater who've taken the time to help me record my stuff and develop my sound.

So this is a bit of a tribute show. The songs are still alive and as long as I play them they will continue to mark my transitions along this thing called Life.

I hope you'll come along to listen to the stories so far.

Cheers and beers, blood, sweat and tears!
xx
