First entry of this online diary. I went out to Drunk Poets See God at Gari Gari last night after a long hiatus. Samm and Joy have been taking care of the event really well, and Tomi looked well too. I felt like an absent parent coming back in to check on how the kids were doing.
There were some familiar faces and some people I knew through Joy’s poetry challenges and gatherings. Hadn’t seen Samm in ages too. I told him later that night I was compelled to come out and see my people in the flesh…
