台風
There’s a typhoon blowing through Tokyo this morning. It’s churning up the season and spitting it out and taking all the horrible heat with it! So grateful. 感謝している!
Last night I went to the Open Mic at the Lighthouse (one of my favorite pubs in the hood) and sang a few songs at the piano (that was provided by the lovely guy performing before me). I sang “Nature Boy” by Nat King Cole, “Apple Blossom” by the White Stripes, and my original “Cats in the Rain” (which is a bit of a love song to typhoons as it happens!)
The night was really chill and the cats there were super fun, spirited and kind. Little by little I’m coming out of another shell (yes I have issues!) and am taking stock of the many blessings that surround me. As my mate Stacy would sing in her Disney princess voice “Are you humbly grateful, or grumbly hateful? What’s your attitude?”
So I’m opting for the former as it’s a much healthier way to go! Gearing up for the Pisces Full Moon eclipse as well. More on that later. x
