The double typhoon is currently taking a swipe at Nippon. It's teaming up with 梅雨(tsuyu) rainy season and is giving us a right old soak.
Last night there was a wobbler in Yamanashi. Right after the wobbler in Aomori. Here in Tokyo, we're a little on edge!
My heart goes to Venezuela which had a mega wobbler and as a result, lots of people have lost their lives. It's sobering to remember that the earth is going to rumble from time to time and wake us up to our lives.
I'm recovering from last week's LassieFest! What a show! It was a rainy, muggy night and I bought 10 sunflowers for my Lassies. We had three sets: Kate Sikora and I opened the night with our deadly duo act “FireWhores” and we sang:

Then we had our Sister Act breakout groups:
Annie, Kelly and I sang “Helplessly Hoping”, Kelly and I sang two of our “greatest pits” - “Dreams” and “Closer to Fine” (on which we changed the Bible line to “we go to the Tarot”)
Kelly, Alysia and Rebecca did a beautiful arrangement of “Red Robin” and Annie did two trad. UK songs solo. The icing on the cake was the “Mr Sandman” rendition with Debbie, Joy, Kate and Alysia. With an original verse at the end about a "man who's good in the kitchen and can tuck the kids in!" lol

The LassieFest Summer Solstice concert was incredibly powerful and I am so proud of what we've accomplished! FYI: our Winter Solstice show is already set for Dec.12 at Lighthouse, Kokubunji.
Very honored to be among such wonderful, inspired and inspiring women. I want to take this energy into WELL (the women's organization I'm involved with) and help it to vibe on the same level!
