Entry #2
It’s another bright, crisp morning in Tokyo. The Lunar New Year is on the 29th - the Year of the Wood Snake. Farewell Wood Dragon. What a year you brought us!
Having a moment of gratitude and reflection as this year comes to a close and another begin, right on the Aquarius New Moon.
I’ve been having a lot of inspiration lately too. Poetry - reading Rupi Kaur’s “milk and honey”, Music - practicing murder ballads for The Raven’s Tale show on Feb 16 at Dickens as part of the “Folk Fest” event I put together with us, Ramblin Steve Gardner and Felix Sonnyboy and Ethan McCreadie. Really looking forward to it.
Been mourning the passing of David Lynch and have discovered his passion for transcendental meditation. Tried meditating fro 20 mins this morning and it was good. Need to do it more. Drop in and drop out so to speak.
I have a lot of things to look forward to this year. They are starting to take shape. I am presenting a workshop on “Witchcraft and Wellness” at the WELL seminar on the March 8 (International Women’s Day!) weekend, so that is taking some research and assemblage.
I am still working on my next album (I am doing the producing this time - it’s tough!) and the songs are getting a bit restless to be free… also brainstorming some ideas for a video/photoshoot.
My album “Year of the Snake” (2021) also feels particularly poignant right now. I will celebrate 12 years of being married to myself this New Moon, so I’m renewing my vows. Blessed Be.
