Hi everyone, I’m sitting at the kitchen table on a very warm August morning. I’ve cleaned the house as much as I can on the inside. I’m still coming down off my trip to Australia for the past three weeks. It was winter and I was busy on most days and also had the company of my human family members or furry friends. Now I’m on my own again, until Dylan comes home from work and am “left to my own devices” as it were. I can feel the Depression Kitty slide around my ankles a bit, so I’m trying to figure out what to do next with my time and energy now that I’m back in my own space. The heat is oppressive, but I must focus on what I can do next. The Aquarius moon is building to full (On August 9) and I’m feeling a bit scatterbrained and fussy (thanks to Mercury Gatorade in Leo no doubt). So I clean, read, listen back to the song I started writing in Adelaide after my investigation trip to Ballarat with my dad. The song is called “The Ballad of Annie and Joe” and it’s a tale about my paternal great grandparents. Totally fantastical. It was good to find Annie, my grandfathers’s birth mother, whose name was actually Winifred Langton. No idea about Joe. Could’ve been anyone… Irish (per a DNA test that my bruv had done some years back.) Song to be shared imminently. Stay tuned.
On top of the road trip I had a show at The Wheatsheaf Hotel as well! All these adventures are a bit of a blur now! Anyways, perhaps I’ll do a bit of writing this Summer Break. Seems to put the Depression Kitty to sleep… Thanks for reading! x
